　　本片编剧是著名导演，普里策奖获得者David Mamet。本片人物形象鲜明，因为在掘井中暴露出各自的弱点而显得尤为真实。老练的Anthony Hopkins不再饰演变态杀手，却将一个敏感的，虽坐拥千万家财而内心不安的老富翁演得纤维毫毕现，感谢导演Lee Tamahori的明智抉择——他曾经考虑过以Robert De Niro出演这个角色。
